Welcome to the Amber beta!
Amber is a Digital Asset Manager that allows for easy uploading, tagging, and retrieval of digital assets like photos, videos, audio, Word documents, PDF files, and more.
During the beta period, Amber user accounts are managed through https://faithlife.com/. To use Amber you will need a Faithlife account, and to be a member of a group that is enabled for Amber.
Upload files by dragging them into the Amber window, or using the "New asset" button. You can then add tags immediately, or do it later. It's easy to select media, one asset at a time or in batches, and to add tags, descriptions, and other metadata.
When you start typing a tag, Amber will automatically suggest terms from the Wikipedia vocabulary. This makes it easy to standardize your vocabulary and do smarter searching; you're also free to enter any tag you would like, or even to create new metadata fields with your own labels!
Everything is full-text searchable in Amber, including the content of Word and PDF documents.
Amber tracks all revisions to your media and metadata, so feel free to experiment, upload, tag, and edit! Your changes will be tracked and can be reverted. Accidentally deleted assets can be undeleted as well.
